Blue Phoenix exists to support business owners and senior leaders when delivery keeps moving, but leadership capacity is under sustained pressure.

I work alongside MDs and senior leadership teams in delivery-led organisations who are already highly capable - but carrying more operational, people and decision-making load than is sustainable long term.

My work focuses on creating capacity at senior level: reducing the pressure that builds when responsibility, delivery and growth outpace the time and headspace leaders actually have.

Support is practical, embedded and discreet. I work behind the scenes, taking ownership of agreed areas, stabilising delivery and easing senior load — without disruption, without noise, and without changing how the organisation presents itself internally or externally.

Blue Phoenix is not about programmes, process for its own sake, or telling leaders how to do their jobs. It exists to quietly strengthen leadership capacity so businesses can continue to perform without relying on personal stretch or individual heroics.

Why I work this way

I’ve spent most of my career inside delivery-led organisations -environments where commercial pressure, client expectation and people complexity coexist, often without pause.

In those settings, leadership strain rarely comes from lack of capability. It comes from sustained load: decisions stacking up, responsibility concentrating at the top, and senior leaders absorbing pressure so the business can keep moving.

I work this way because I’ve seen first-hand how quickly capable leaders can become the system - carrying operational, emotional and decision-making weight that should never sit with one person alone.

Blue Phoenix exists to relieve that pressure in a way that is practical, respectful and proportionate to the reality leaders are operating in.

How I approach the Work

My approach is simple and pragmatic. I work alongside leaders, not over them -integrating quietly into the business to take ownership of agreed areas and create breathing room at senior level.

Support is always tailored to the organisation and the moment it is in. Sometimes that means getting into the detail; sometimes it means providing senior perspective and challenge; often it means carrying work that would otherwise sit with already-stretched leaders.

The priority is always the same: reduce pressure, stabilise delivery and create enough capacity for leaders to think, decide and lead without constant fire-fighting.

This work is embedded, hands-on and discreet. It is designed to strengthen leadership capacity without disruption, noise or unnecessary change.

Credentials & Experience

I bring over 30 years of experience across senior operational leadership, board-level support and embedded change roles within events, creative and delivery-led organisations.

My background includes Operations Director roles within global agency environments, long-term board-level work supporting growth, merger and transition, and senior support for businesses operating under sustained commercial and delivery pressure.

Alongside this, I have worked in education and leadership development, ensuring my practical experience is underpinned by sound theory - used in service of the work, not instead of it.

The story behind the name

Blue Phoenix reflects the type of work I do with leaders and organisations.

Much of my work begins when things are still functioning - but under strain. Pressure is present, capacity is tight, and leaders are carrying more than is visible. The task is rarely to rebuild everything from scratch, but to stabilise, realign and create the conditions for renewal without collapse.

The phoenix is not about reinvention for its own sake. It represents resilience, renewal and strength rebuilt quietly - from the inside out.

What Ultimately Matters to Me

What matters most to me is that leaders are able to run successful businesses without sacrificing their health, relationships or sense of perspective.

I believe strong performance and sustainable leadership are not opposites - but they do require enough capacity at the top of the organisation to make thoughtful decisions, support others and carry responsibility without constant personal cost.

My work is about creating those conditions quietly and effectively, so leaders can lead - and businesses can perform - without relying on individual heroics.
